The Main Campus Program Board (MCPB) at Temple is one of the best ways to participate in cool and fun events on and off campus. Some exciting upcoming events include a trip to see Wicked on Broadway in New York City, and an outdoor “Moonlight Movie” screening of horror film Don’t Breathe.
Wicked is a new twist on the classic Wizard of Oz fantasy. Before Dorothy dropped in, Elphaba was a young, extremely intelligent, immensely talented girl, but she has green skin. She is seen as strange and an outcast by society. When she meets the extremely popular, blond, and bubbly Galinda (later shortened to just “Glinda”), their initial rivalry and hatred of one another turns into an unlikely and lifelong friendship. But, what happens when one is seen as “good”, and the other as “wicked”?
Filled with iconic songs such as “Popular”, “Defying Gravity”, and “For Good”, Wicked is a Broadway blockbuster that you do not want to miss! Tickets go on sale for $40 at The Reel Box Office on Thursday, October 27th at noon. The trip to NYC to see the show is on Saturday, November 5th, and food will be provided by Planet Hollywood.
